RoboTask is a task-automation tool for Windows computers. It is a very complete one, too. Unlike other applications of this kind that I have seen recently, RoboTask actually includes a large list of common tasks that you can add by simple double clicking. You don't have to use any coding or extensive commands. No macro-recording is necessary either. RoboTask comes with a list of predefined actions that are sorted into two folders: Simple and Complex. The simple actions include inserting dates into documents or text fields, sorting folders, copy and paste operations, defragging a hard drive, etc. The complex tasks include Batch FTP uploads, pinging certain IP addresses, zipping operations, messages, opening websites, etc. You can even add commands and operators to those to customize them to achieve what you want. There is yet another thing I like about RoboTask that I hadn't seen before; it adds triggering events. A triggering event is basically an IF operator. It tells the application to carry out an action only IF or WHEN something happens or something is as you want it to be. For example, WHEN a certain window is absent, you can have the application launch a certain program or a command. Graphically, the application is brilliant. There is no room for confusion, either. The actions are listed, can be sorted, activated, and deactivated from within a single window.
